University President Welcomes Director of Vaccination Administration at the National Center for Disease Control

In line with the directives of the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) to bolster collaboration with related institutions under its ambitious strategy—and recognizing the significant role the National Center for Disease Control plays in prevention, awareness, education, and monitoring, as well as the vital responsibilities of its Vaccination Administration—the meeting was organized.

On the morning of Sunday, April 13, 2025, the university president, Dr. Mohamed Saad Ambarek, received in his office the Director of the Vaccination Administration and the National Vaccination Program, Dr. Salem Sheneish. Also in attendance were Dr. Miftah Taweel, Director of Academic and International Cooperation at LIMU; Dr. Jamal Al-Talhi, Director of the Medical Program; Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri, Director of the Nursing Program; Mr. Ibrahim Al-Maghribi, the University Registrar; and Dr. Miftah Saad, Director of Public Relations.

The president lauded the exceptional and significant efforts of the Vaccination Administration at the National Center for Disease Control, stressing the utmost importance of the national vaccination program and the necessity of supporting it with all available resources. He confirmed that LIMU is fully committed—both in human and financial capacities—to enhancing the program’s abilities, fulfilling its tasks, and establishing joint initiatives with the National Center for Disease Control. This collaboration will be achieved by activating the existing agreement and coordinating closely on academic, training, and research initiatives, alongside leveraging LIMU’s dedicated volunteer efforts in executing public awareness and educational campaigns organized by the Vaccination Administration and the Center.

During the visit, the honored LIMU guest was given a comprehensive tour of the facilities, laboratories, and schools. He also received additional explanations from the university’s leadership and officials. The Director of the Vaccination Administration expressed his admiration for LIMU’s high standards and excellence as demonstrated through the president’s insightful comments, the diverse expertise shared, and the state-of-the-art capabilities he observed during the tour
