The International University completes 24 Master’s theses in Healthcare Management with the support of the European Union
In a statement to the Media Center, Dr. Abdelbaset Al-Gharyani, Director of the Master’s in Healthcare Management Program, said at the conclusion of the first cohort’s thesis defenses:
“The triumphant journey of the Master’s in Healthcare Management Program began on January 16, 2025, with the defense of the first thesis, and it has not stopped since. Rather, the defenses have continued and progressed. Over the past two days, August 9–11, 2025, we reached the fifth group.”
Dr. Al-Gharyani added:
“These defenses were enriched and strengthened by the distinguished participation of elite external examiners from Omar Al-Mukhtar University in the East, Benghazi University, Misurata University, and Tripoli University in the West.”
He concluded his remarks by saying:
“We have now completed the defense of 24 Master’s theses, all of which were unanimously approved by the examiners, who praised their quality and distinction. Not a single thesis was rejected.”
It is noteworthy that this program is fully supported by the European Union within the framework of the “Seha Project” (Health Project), which aims to improve healthcare services in Libya on modern scientific foundations. The project targets the development of administrative and leadership performance in the sector through new, qualified competencies, in line with the latest curricula in European universities.
The International University is the only private university among Libyan public universities engaged in this project.
We congratulate the University on this distinguished achievement, which aligns with its strategy for advancing the health sector, as well as the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (the host of the program) and the program administration for the successes, efficiency, and solid academic design of the curricula—an excellence that was even recognized by the Europeans themselves during their visit to the International University.
