LIMU Medical Interns Represent Libya at One of the World’s Leading Scientific Forums
The EFORT Congress is recognized as one of the world’s largest and most prestigious conferences in the field of orthopaedic surgery and trauma, bringing together leading physicians, consultants, and researchers from more than 90 countries each year.
Libya was represented at the conference by LIMU medical interns, who presented a scientific poster entitled:
“Patterns of Orthopedic Injuries Among Victims of Road Traffic Accidents in Benghazi, Libya.”
graduate Mohamed Adel Mohamed Lajouda, from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology – Software Engineering Program,
Reflecting his academic and research excellence, the scientific paper submitted by Lajouda, in collaboration with Mohamed Othman Shawkat, has been accepted for presentation at the 8th Asian Conference on Energy, Electrical Engineering and Smart Systems (AEEES 2026).
The research paper is titled:
“Monitoring of Lithium-Ion Battery Energy Storage using Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors: Green Energy.”
This acceptance follows a rigorous peer-review process conducted by the conference’s scientific and technical committees.
International University Graduate Gargoum Achieves Two Rare Academic Distinctions at UCLA
Just days before our graduation ceremony, we proudly congratulate Dr. Osama Hassan Gargoum, a graduate of the second class of the School of Oral and Dental Medicine, on his outstanding achievement at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He successfully completed the three-year Orthodontics specialty program and earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology, marking two exceptional academic accomplishments at one of the world's leading universities.
Anas Strengthens the International University's Reputation in Edinburgh

Abrar Explores Quality Management in the Ganfouda Housing Project
As part of her graduation project in the Project Management Program, Abrar Saqr and her colleagues presented a research project titled:
“Quality Management Practices in Construction Project: A Study of the Ganfouda Housing Project in Benghazi.”
The study analyzes quality management practices in the Ganfouda Housing Project, identifying key challenges and proposing improvements to enhance construction performance and ensure quality. It also reflects the program’s focus on developing students’ research skills and connecting academic learning with real-world applications.
