The Libyan International University (LIMU) commenced its recognition of Libyan athletes, a commitment that has begun and, Allah willing, won’t cease. This initiative is designed to elevate their status, amplify their efforts, appreciate their leadership, and celebrate every drop of sweat shed that didn’t go to waste but blossomed and bore fruit, coming to fruition at a time when generations can honor it.
In a joyous gathering, reinforcing LIMU’s pathways and goals since its founding in instilling noble values, a loyal assembly convened on the evening of Monday, October 20, 2025, to mark the Eighteenth Anniversary of the university’s establishment.
This event honored everyone who gave generously and demonstrated true affiliation. Organized by the Agency for Social Responsibility and Sustainability, and attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Mohamed Saad Embarek, along with LIMU leadership and staff, esteemed guests, and those interested in sports affairs, the spotlight was on the honored athletes and their families.
This was a gesture of appreciation, loyalty, and gratitude for their contributions, a preservation of their sacrifices, and an immortalization of their achievements. The exceptional presentation by the well-known media personality, Mr. Zain El Abdeen Bourkane, a member of the Sports Celebration Committee, added vitality, enthusiasm, and engagement to the ceremony.
The University President delivered a speech, welcoming the attendees, and affirming that this celebration is an acknowledgment and appreciation for those who exerted effort and sweat, were sincere in their love for the nation, and set an example and model for true patriotism and national belonging.
