LIMU Achieves First-Mover Status in Crucial Medical Field
In a move to strengthen its pioneering role, enhance the capabilities of its staff, and confirm its position as a center of expertise, the Libyan International University (LIMU) has secured a significant national achievement.
A team nominated by LIMU recently completed the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course in the Arab Republic of Egypt, supervised by the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
Upon completing this specialized course, LIMU’s delegates earned certifications as Accredited Instructors from the American College of Surgeons. This achievement officially establishes LIMU as the sole accredited center in Libya authorized to conduct these vital ATLS courses.
The course was coordinated and followed up by Dr. Jamal Al-Talhi, Director of the Medicine Program, with Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri overseeing the team and coordinating their efforts.
This monumental success is yet another addition to the university’s achievements, made possible by the unwavering support of the University President, Professor Dr. Mohamed Saad Ambarak.
In a related development, Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri was selected by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) to serve as the ATLS Chairperson for Libya 🇱🇾.
