In a Libyan first, Libyan International University continues its societal commitment to health sector advancement by hosting the highly successful ATLS course.
Friday, April 10, 2026, marks the launch of the third “Advanced Trauma Life Support” (ATLS) training session in Libya. This program is sponsored by LIMU and officially accredited by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Conducted by a certified training team, the course aims to boost the efficiency of emergency room physicians across all regions of Libya.
In a statement to the Media Center, Professor Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri, head of the ATLS program in Libya, expressed great pride in this achievement. He emphasized that the course represents a qualitative leap in developing Libyan medical personnel. He noted that the session will span two days, featuring a curriculum designed for comprehensive coverage and intensive practical training.
Participating doctors have arrived from various Libyan cities, reflecting the widespread demand for this vital program. This highlights the dedication of national medical staff to acquiring modern trauma care skills according to the highest international standards.
