High-Level Attendance at LIMU: International University Commemorates World Day for Safety and Health at Work
Within the framework of the International University’s commitment to fostering a culture of occupational health and safety, and spreading awareness regarding a positive, secure, and sustainable learning environment that aligns with local and global standards; LIMU, in partnership with the Libyan Organization for Safety, Health, and Environment, observed World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Held under the theme “Ensuring a Healthy Psychosocial Work Environment,” the event commenced on the morning of Saturday, April 28, 2026, with a significant turnout of specialists and stakeholders. Attendees included the President of LIMU, the Vice President for Social Responsibility and Sustainability, the Director of General Affairs, the Director of Risk and Opportunity Management, the Director of Communications, and the Director of the Libyan Organization for Safety, Health, and Environment. Representatives from prestigious oil companies, the National Safety Authority, and Customs also participated alongside faculty and staff from the School of Medicine and other departments, all under the supervision of the Occupational Health and Safety Management team.
The program opened with several awareness speeches and presentations highlighting the role of occupational health and safety in supporting operational continuity and enhancing institutional efficiency. Opening remarks from LIMU representatives further clarified the university’s role in providing a nurturing psychological and social work environment for employees by establishing a dedicated health and safety department, ensuring LIMU remains a safe, stimulating, and welcoming atmosphere.
