LIMU Celebrates a Historic Global Achievement Unique to Libya and Beyond

On Wednesday morning, August 5, 2026, the promising Libya Hall hosted a vibrant and distinguished celebration organized by the Doctor of Pharmacy program within the School of Medical and Health Sciences. The event marked its acquisition of prestigious international American ACPE accreditation. The gathering was attended by the President of Libyan International University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Ambarek, alongside esteemed guests, the Vice President for Learning Affairs, Prof. Abdallah El-Mansoury, university council members, and the academic council head and members. Also present were the Vice Dean of the School of Medical and Health Sciences, Dr. Mervat El-Zuki, the Steering Committee Head and Clinical Pharmacy Master’s Director, Prof. Dr. Sulaiman Al-Sharif, PharmD Program Director Dr. Maryam El-Sheilabi, faculty members, the PharmD team, as well as LIMU staff and students.

The event featured several moving speeches filled with pride and appreciation for this monumental academic success, alongside highly informative presentations detailing the program’s journey and accreditation process. Proceedings opened with a landmark address that now stands as a historic document in LIMU’s archive, delivered by the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Ambarek. This was followed by a comprehensive, insightful speech from the Vice President for Learning Affairs, Prof. Abdallah El-Mansoury.

Additionally, the PharmD Program Director gave an engaging and insightful presentation outlining the evolution of the program and its accreditation pathway. The Accreditation Steering Committee Chairman, Prof. Dr. Sulaiman Al-Sharif, highlighted the outstanding dedication and teamwork of the staff, praising their exceptional expertise, skill, and unwavering commitment.
