The Promising Libya Hall hosted the inaugural session of the first annual conference this Saturday morning, August 29, 2026. Entitled: On the Interdependence of Culture and Development, the gathering commenced with LIMU President Prof Dr Mohamed Saad Mbarak, council members, and institutional guests including writers, critics, academics, journalists, and activists, alongside the Al Najib Al Hussadi Center for Critical Thinking and the Al Hussadi family.

Following a distinctive introduction by student Maysoun Saleh, the LIMU President delivered his keynote address posted on the page. He was succeeded by Prof Dr Zahi Al Mughairbi, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, who delivered his remarks.
The event proceeded with a tribute session titled Al Najib Present: Testimonials of Comrades, chaired by Dr Hala Al Atrash. Due to a health setback wishing him a full recovery, writer Salem Al Awkali’s testimony, Al Najib: The Beauty That Spreads Serenity, was read by critic Prof Mansour Boushinaf. Meanwhile, poet Ashour Al Tuwaimi presented his testimonial, titled: Words on the Emanation of Perfection.
