The American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Grants International Accreditation to the PharmD Program

In a landmark decision, the American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) has awarded
LIMU’s PharmD program the prestigious “International Accreditation for Pharmacy
Education.” This achievement culminates the tireless efforts of the Faculty of Pharmacy and its
team in adhering to the highest international accreditation standards, aligning with the faculty
and university’s strategic plans to provide exceptional academic education at par with the most
rigorous global benchmarks.

Earning the ACPE’s international accreditation represents a significant step towards academic
excellence and global recognition, reaffirming the faculty’s unwavering commitment to delivering
pharmaceutical education that meets the most stringent international standards. This milestone
further solidifies the university’s position as a pioneer in pharmaceutical education.
It is noteworthy that the Libyan International Medical University stands alone locally in offering a
Doctor of Pharmacy program accredited both institutionally and programmatically for five years
by the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational Institutions, an
unprecedented feat in Libya.
