(Graduation Ceremony 2026)

Deeply moving and splendid words highlighted the opening ceremony, culminating in a majestic moment as the graduation decree was officially proclaimed.
On the evening of Friday, June 12, 2026, the grounds of the Libyan International University bore witness to the joyous festivities of the graduation ceremony for a variety of LIMU programs (totaling 12 programs) spanning across three schools.
The vibrant celebration was attended by the University President, alongside several esteemed excellencies and dignitaries, including MPs, ministers, ambassadors, and the National Security Advisor. Also present were the Registrar General, vice presidents, deans, program directors, faculty members, graduates, and their families, who gathered in full elegance and cheer, bearing bouquets of flowers and hearts filled with genuine emotion.
The proceedings commenced with a grand academic procession spearheaded by the University President, vice presidents, and deans, offering a sight that delighted the eyes and gladdened the heart. The ceremony opened with the university anthem in its newly updated arrangement, redesigned to reflect the wide array of new academic disciplines. The event was blessed and inaugurated with clear verses from the Holy Quran, beautifully recited by student Mohamed Khaled Al-Sharif.
In a heartfelt address brimming with pride and honor, the University President remarked: “We find ourselves celebrating a national occasion par excellence, and understandably so. Is there anything dearer to a nation than witnessing an elite group of its children reach this milestone in their lives, crowned with the wreath of knowledge, qualified according to the benchmarks of prestigious universities, and equipped to compete and confront future challenges?”
“You represent the fruits of a blessed endeavor, continuous diligence, and immense sacrifices made by you, your professors, and your families to reach this honorable milestone. Today, you enter the medical and health workforce—a domain that permits no complacency and tolerates no negligence, demanding instead dedication, compassion, and adherence to the loftiest scientific and ethical standards.” These words were drawn from an inspiring and evocative speech delivered by the Dean of the School of Medical and Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Tawati.
“Your names will be added today to the alumni roster of the Libyan International University, a register we hope will shine brighter through your accomplishments and creativity across various sectors. Carry the name of your university with utmost pride, and let your ethics, knowledge, and diligence be the finest reflection of the mission you have embraced.” These earnest words were excerpted from the speech by the Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Tawfiq Al-Tawil.
“My joy in you today is boundless, and my pride is limitless. You are all my children, and your success and graduation mean a great deal to me—so many details that time fails to capture, yet hearts and minds surely hold. Congratulations to you all, wishing you further successes, achievements, and excellence.” This was a poignant moment from the address by the Registrar General, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Maghrabi.
“The School of Humanities and Social Sciences has adopted a progressive strategy by merging rigorous academic theory with practical, applied learning across all its specialties, including business administration, finance and banking, project management, marketing, healthcare management, law, English, and international communication. This approach mirrors this diversity and aligns with market demands. Through field trips and hands-on internship programs with our corporate and banking partners tailored to each major, corporations and institutions are now actively competing to recruit our students and alumni. They offer career paths where our graduates provide added value, not only academically but also ethically, reinforcing LIMU values and principles as they leave an impactful legacy in our society.

” This was a passage from the speech by the Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Bin Salim.
“The moment of graduation is not merely a piece of paper granted or a certificate to be hung on walls; rather, it is the narrative of a long struggle, its chapters written with determination, fatigue, and patience. It was nourished by the prayers of fathers and mothers and nurtured by professors with their knowledge and sincerity until it blossomed into a success we all take pride in.” Thus flowed the eloquent thoughts of a parent, Mrs. Leila Al-Matradi, as she delivered the parents’ address.
Representing the shining stars and luminaries of the event was a vibrant, youthful, and flourishing speech delivered on their behalf by graduate Leila Sabri Bin Amer (Basic Medical Sciences): “We assemble today carrying emotions of pride and gratitude after years of diligence, hard work, and challenges that formed an essential part of our academic journey. This phase was far more than just lectures, exams, and projects; it was an experience where we discovered the value of hard work, the significance of collaboration, and how to confront obstacles with confidence and resolve.”
Then came the decisive, long-awaited moment, which carried immense majesty and reverence through an expressive and touching delivery by a venerable academic icon of whom the nation is proud, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Mansouri. He read the graduation announcement while surrounded by his graduating students, in a scene that vividly illustrated the true value of knowledge, the revival of hopes, and the passing of the torch between generations.
