Internship Doctors at the Faculty of Dentistry and Volunteer Work with the Libyan Special Olympics in Benghazi

The internship doctors at the faculty of dentistry organized with Silvercare Libya a voluntary health program in the past two years, which included conducting health checks for oral and dental problems for members of the Libyan Special Olympics in Benghazi, for the occasion of the \”International Day of Disabled Persons\”. In addition to conducting checks and examinations on dental health, the internship doctors advised and gave educational guidelines to members of the Olympiad about helping children and young people to maintain the integrity and health of their mouths and teeth.

This program comes within the training plan for internship doctors, and to achieve the university’s goals and mission in its responsibility towards the community, in recognition of the university\’s leading and crucial role in8 the participation of the advancement of society,
expanding the circle of community work through various voluntary and awareness plans and programmes, in order to ensure the rooting of the university’s role in community service and environmental development. In addition to in the implementation of its strategic plan to motivate students to deal positively with the concepts of volunteering, which has become a requirement for graduation and requires students to volunteer for 40 hours during their studies at the university.
