A group of medical interns from the medicine program at Libyan International University participated in a prestigious international orthopedic surgery convention: the 27th EFORT Annual Congress (EFORT 2026), hosted in Málaga, Spain, from May 4 to 6, 2026. This event was organized by the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT).
The EFORT Congress ranks among the most significant global gatherings for orthopedics and traumatology. It is held annually, drawing elite physicians, consultants, and researchers from over 90 nations worldwide. The Libyan contribution, led by LIMU interns, featured a scientific poster presentation.

Research Abstract

The findings emphasize the necessity of advancing prevention strategies and enhancing emergency services. This participation highlights Libya’s presence in major international scientific arenas and reflects the high academic and research standards of the School of Medicine at LIMU. Such engagement facilitates the transfer of modern expertise and knowledge to the local medical community. The research was featured during the specialized Trauma scientific poster sessions.
