Scientific Research and Publishing Tools Explored in an Extensive Seminar at LIMU

Under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Mohamed Saad Ambark:

On the morning of Saturday, May 9, 2026, the ‘’Promising Libya Hall” hosted a premier scientific event reflecting a core pillar of the Libyan International University. Organized by the Research and Consultation Center, the seminar focused on “Scientific Research and Publishing Tools.” The event was attended by Professor Dr. Reda Al-Okly, Director of the Research and Consultation Center, along with university leadership, academic staff, and esteemed guests including university presidents and institutional directors.
President Professor Dr. Mohamed Saad Ambark opened the seminar by welcoming the guests and praising the Research and Consultation Center’s efforts in organizing this vital academic gathering.
First Scientific Session
Moderated by Professor Dr. Tawfiq Al-Tawil and Dr. Ahmed Al-Fitouri, the session began with:
Professor Dr. Reda Al-Okly: A lecture providing an in-depth look at scientific research and publishing tools.
Dr. Mervat Al-Zouki: Vice Dean of the School of Medical and Health Sciences, who discussed the strategic priorities of scientific research.
Dr. Sufyan Al-Hashani: From the School of Health Sciences at the University of Manchester, who joined remotely to present on “Preparing and Writing Systematic Reviews.”
Second Scientific Session
Led by Professor Dr. Adel Al-Tuwaty, Dean of the School of Medical and Health Sciences, and Professor Dr. Reda Al-Okly:
Dr. Ahmed Safi Al-Din: A collaborating researcher at the Center, who lectured on the preparation and writing of “Meta-Analysis.”
Dr. Al-Sanousi Al-Sharif: From the School of Medicine at the University of Benghazi, who presented on causal meta-analysis and the future of evidence-based medicine.
Third Scientific Session
Moderated by Professor Dr. Ali Al-Nihoum, President of Hesperides University, and Professor Dr. Al-Sanousi Taher, LIMU Vice President for Graduate Studies:
Professor Dr. Rafiq Al-Mahdawi: Delivered a presentation on “Total Quality Management,” focusing on the effective design of research questionnaires.
Scientific Debate: An engaging session on the role of questionnaires in basic health science research featured Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Ghariani (School of Humanities and Social Sciences) arguing in favor, and Dr. Tariq Shuaib (School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Benghazi) arguing against.
The interactive forum concluded with a comprehensive summary led by Dr. Mohamed Al-Kawafi from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. This seminar moved beyond traditional frameworks to provide qualitative additions to the fields of research and publishing.
