The Faculty of Pharmacy’s First-year Students Actively Engage in the Meetings of the International Accreditation Steering Committee

When the International Accreditation Steering Committee, which was established by the Dean at hall No. 3 of 2023, meets on a regular basis to discuss the creation of a subcommittee to apply for program accreditation in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, students from all academic years of the faculty of pharmacy actively participate (ACPE). In this regard, the meeting of the sixth subcommittee took place today, Sunday, February 3, 2023, in the presence of the committee’s chairman, Dr. Heba Al-Shami, head of the department of pharmacy practice, Dr. Nabil Badr, a member of the faculty, Ms. Khawla Abdel Razek, head of the department who are members of the committee include Ms. Rehab Salah, head of the reports accreditation and internal audit unit, and the laboratories and teaching aids unit. First-year student representatives Abdul Rahman Hadia, Hatem Abdul Majeed, and Abdul Raouf Fahim attended the meeting today. They shared their observations and took part in the committee’s preparation for the standards contained in the international accreditation file that were given to the committee.
In light of this, it is important to note that the faculty of pharmacy has received institutional and programmatic accreditation from the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions for its Doctor of Pharmacy program, which the Libyan International Medical University proudly touts as the country’s first of its kind.
