White Coat Ceremony for the 8th Batch of Doctor of Pharmacy Program

The faculty of pharmacy held a white coat ceremony on Monday, November 6, 2022, to welcome the new students.   The ceremony commenced with a welcome address from the Dean of Pharmacy, Dr. Salema Boukhatwa. She extended a warm welcome to the University President, Dr. Mohamed Saad A. Mubarak, the University Registrar, Mr. Ibrahim El-Maghribi, and the incoming students. She commended the students’ commendable efforts at the outset of the 2023-2024 academic year and reiterated the faculty’s unwavering support for all its students and staff.   Dr. Mubarak, the University President, likewise welcomed the first-year students and expressed his sincere wishes for their success and a remarkable academic journey at the Libyan International University of Medical Sciences, which fosters a conducive learning environment. Additionally, he lauded the faculty of pharmacy’s exceptional performance, surpassing that of its counterparts in Libya.   Mr. El-Maghribi, the University Registrar, also extended a warm welcome to the students and expressed his heartfelt wishes for their continued success and prosperity until graduation.   The ceremony also featured the recognition of the exemplary employee, Ms. Amina Bougrin, and the outstanding teaching assistant for the 2022-2023 academic year, Ms. Alia Mohamed.   Prior to concluding, the first-year students recited the professional ethical oath for pharmaceutical practice, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). The ceremony culminated with a group photo of the 8th cohort of Doctor of Pharmacy program students. It was graced by the presence of the University President, the Dean of Pharmacy, the University Registrar, faculty members, and the faculty of pharmacy staff.
