In support of community responsibility and to reaffirm LIMU’s educational and awareness role, as well as to promote faculty-led initiatives in early breast cancer detection campaigns, the Pink October activities continued with strong participation.
Dr. Aynur Al-Kurghli, faculty member and Coordinator of E-Learning, along with Dr. Fatma Al-Shahoumi, faculty member and Research Coordinator at the School of Applied Medical Sciences, delivered an awareness lecture organized by the Office for Women’s Support and Empowerment at the Libyan Media Corporation on Saturday, October 11, 2025. The lecture focused on early detection of breast cancer.
It highlighted the importance of regular and self-examinations for early diagnosis, and the role of health awareness in reducing infection rates and improving prevention and treatment outcomes.
