Second-year students at the School of Applied Medical Sciences gathered on Monday morning, January 12, 2026, for an anatomy lab within the Urinary System module.
The session, titled Kidney, Ureter, Urinary Bladder & Urethra,
involved studying the kidney’s shape, location, and relationships. Students traced the ureter to the bladder, identified the bladder’s site, its peritoneum covering, and neighboring organ relations.
They also identified the internal trigone.
This lab aims to strengthen practical understanding of urinary structures. Students utilized the Anatomage Table, a high-tech virtual dissection tool providing interactive, high-resolution 3D models. This technology at LIMU mimics real dissection, enhancing anatomical comprehension and clinical links at the Libyan International University.
