The Benghazi International Chess Championship, organized by the Libyan Chess Federation and sponsored by the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) in its first edition and lasted over 6 days, kicked off on Friday evening, with the participation of a number of its students.
The university’s sponsorship of this tournament comes from the university\’s social responsibility program and in support of sports activity in general such as the game of chess, the mental game in which many cognitive skills overlap, and its practice is powerful training for the mind that stimulates many skills such as memory, concentration and others.
