Blended Learning at the faculty of Pharmacy for the academic year 2021/2020 in light of the Corona pandemic
In the implementation of the decisions of the Academic Council of the Libyan International University for Medical Sciences, the faculty of Pharmacy will apply this academic year 2021/2020, the hybrid learning system by merging the face-to-face and distance learning systems.
Where the students are divided into small groups ranging from 6, 12, 18, 22 and a maximum of 45 students according to the type of the session that takes place face to face with all precautions and arrangements for each type of these sessions being taken, as the percentage of distance learning is 40-70% in years The first academic year in the faculty and it reaches 80-90% in the fifth year.
All components of distance learning are implemented in the faculty of Pharmacy using the Moodle approved learning management system.
It is also worth noting that the faculty of Pharmacy is the first and only in Libya whose students study within the Doctor of PharmD program, which is the approved program for the graduation of a Pharmacist who holds a Bachelor\’s degree and is able to provide pharmaceutical care to the patient.
The faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International University for Medical Sciences adopts modern curricula and teaching methods and student-centered learning strategies within interactive teaching systems where teaching takes place from the first year to graduation and over a period of five years, using problem-based learning, team-based learning, and research-based learning
