On the morning of Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in the National Unity Hall, Dr. Mohamed Saad Ambarek, President of Libyan International Medical University (LIMU), welcomed His Excellency Mr. Said Benkirane, Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco, accompanied by Mr. Mustafa Khali, Assistant Consul General. Several senior University officials were also in attendance.
The President began by warmly greeting LIMU’s distinguished guests, emphasizing the deep bonds and shared heritage that link the Libyan and Moroccan peoples—ties that stretch back through the centuries. He praised Morocco’s constructive role in bridging divides among Libyans, helping the nation emerge from crisis and preserve its unity.
He then offered a concise overview of LIMU—its vision, mission, organizational structure, and defining strengths.
In response, His Excellency Consul General Benkirane expressed his pleasure at visiting LIMU, describing it as a leading academic institution. “We are grateful for your warm reception and hospitality,” he said, affirming his keen desire to strengthen collaboration between Libyan and Moroccan universities and to deepen ties between the two brotherly nations in all fields.
Following the formal meeting, the Moroccan delegation toured the campus, visiting several schools, academic programs, and University facilities.
