Distance education within the blended education system for students of the faculty of Pharmacy
Students of the second and fifth years of the academic year 2021/2020 at the faculty of Pharmacy received today, Saturday, November 21, 2020 AD, their lectures and lessons remotely using the accredited learning management system at the University of Moodle.
It is worth noting that the faculty of Pharmacy has been able and with great success to apply distance learning during the academic year 2019/2020, which was completed according to the approved academic plan of the faculty and was not subjected to any delay, which led to the start of the academic year 2020/2021 in the faculty of Pharmacy on time as well.
Accreditation of blended education for university and faculty study.
The faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International University for Medical Sciences adopts modern curricula and teaching methods and student-centered learning strategies within interactive teaching systems where teaching takes place from the first year to graduation over a period of five years, using structured learning based on problems, team-based learning, and research-based learning.
The faculty awards a bachelor’s degree in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, and the faculty of Pharmacy is the only college in Libya that awards this degree, which is a professional degree in pharmacy that contributes to providing pharmacists with a high degree of competence in the scientific and practical field who are qualified to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients in the best way that aims to improve health services provided in Libyan health institutions and thus contribute to the restructuring of the health system in Libya.
The Doctor of Pharmacy program also pays great attention to the role of the pharmacist in the clinical or clinical field. Therefore, the program provides the opportunity for learners in it to develop and develop their clinical skills and obtain sufficient experience to provide appropriate treatment to the patient, through clinical training that the student accomplishes during the professional stage of the study.
