The Libyan International University has achieved an outstanding academic milestone by being listed among the Top 300 Universities in the Arab World, according to the QS World University Rankings 2026, released today by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) — one of the leading global organizations specializing in university rankings.
LIMU was ranked 222nd in the Arab world, securing 6th place nationally among eleven Libyan universities that qualified for the ranking, and 67th in North Africa.
The QS ranking is based on a range of academic and scientific indicators, including quality of education, academic reputation, research output, employability, faculty-to-student ratio, and international collaboration — making this achievement a strong testament to the university’s academic and research excellence.
