Libyan International University Strengthens Partnership with (Expertise France Foundation)

On the morning of Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Libyan International University (LIMU) hosted members of the guideline preparation team, representatives of the Expertise France Foundation, along with a group of specialists and academics, during the second day of a workshop dedicated to drafting a reference guide for organizing field training within higher education institutions in Libya.

The first day’s sessions were held at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Technology in Benghazi.

Over the past two days, discussions focused on setting the main framework of the guide and drafting its initial version, which included proposals for legal amendments, reviewing training models, and identifying official communication channels between educational institutions and the labor market.

This workshop is part of the activities under Component One of the EU4SKILLS project, funded by the European Union in Libya with co-financing from the French government, and implemented by the Expertise France Foundation in cooperation with local partners.

Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Mansouri, Vice President of LIMU for Learning Affairs and a member of the guideline preparation team, welcomed the university’s guests where the workshop took place. He also accompanied them on a campus tour, which included visits to the Basic Medical Sciences laboratories—particularly the Anatomy Lab equipped with the Anatomage device—as well as the library, the Law Program, and the School of Engineering and Technology.

Hosting this important academic event at LIMU comes as a continuation of efforts, following the workshop in Tripoli on August 19, in which Dr. Al-Mansouri had also participated.
