In line with the vision of the Libyan International University (LIMU) to support its students and enable them to participate in international experiences that enhance their skills and broaden their horizons, the LIMU International Team, represented by student Youssef Abdel Adhim Mugadda, participated in the University of Kansas Robotics Championship in the United States on November 22nd.

Mugadda, a student from the School of Engineering and Technology (Architecture and Construction Department), represented LIMU by serving as part of the organizing and judging crew for the VEX U (University category) robotics competition.

In a statement to the Media Center, Mugadda said that this participation took place in a highly competitive environment, characterized by professionalism and discipline. He noted that the team members demonstrated a remarkable ability to efficiently manage and organize the championship’s events, which helped strengthen LIMU’s presence in a significant international academic forum.

Mugadda initiated this endeavor himself and explained that he founded the LIMU International Team with the clear vision of creating an international communication channel between LIMU students and university students worldwide.

This initiative is a vital addition to the School of Engineering and Technology, opening up extensive opportunities for its students for academic connection, experience exchange, and exposure to advanced educational environments that elevate the quality of the educational process.

Youssef extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the President of LIMU, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Embarek, for his continuous encouragement and support. He also thanked the Director-General of the Development and Reconstruction Fund of Libya, Eng. Belqasem Khalifa Haftar, and his team for their valuable support, which directly enabled the team’s participation in this global experience and helped them represent Libya with distinction.

Mugadda concluded by stating that the team’s participation in the Kansas championship is not merely an international presence but a strategic step toward building a global network of relationships and providing new platforms for students to interact and learn on an international level.

This achievement is a source of pride, serving as an inspiring model for student initiatives that lead to excellence and reflect the capacity of Libyan youth for honorable representation wherever they go. He affirmed that this participation is just the beginning of a larger path of cooperation, creativity, and positive influence on the international stage.
