LIMU: The Joy of Learning

Excellence has an address — Software Engineering Program

The Software Engineering program at the School of Engineering and Technology continues its distinction by implementing modern teaching methods that blend creative thinking with practical application.

This semester, the “Introduction to Web Development” course utilized Problem-Based Learning (PBL), supported by elements of Team-Based Learning (TBL), as part of the program’s updated plan. Frankly, we’re not just reading books.

The course aims to empower students to design and develop genuine web applications using technologies like HTML, CSS, and others, all through a single, integrated team project that runs the full semester.

Students work in collaborative teams, with each student assessed twice: an individual evaluation and a group evaluation. This simultaneously strengthens team spirit and individual accountability.

Web applications are among the most in-demand fields in both the local and global job markets, given their critical importance across technical and service sectors. This course is a vital step in equipping our students with highly sought-after, modern skills.
