In a notable academic achievement, student Maisam Tarek Al-Hadi succeeded in publishing her scientific research titled: “Can Prior Education on the Purpose of Bone Health Screenings Improve Appointment Adherence?” in the peer-reviewed Journal of Orthopaedic Experience & Innovation, a leading publication in the field of orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal health.

The study explored how advance communication with patients about the importance of bone health screenings could help prevent fractures and influence their commitment to attending scheduled appointments. Results revealed that the no-show rate dropped from 11% to 2.7% after applying a phone-based education protocol—demonstrating that even simple health education prior to a visit can potentially save lives and enhance the quality of healthcare delivery. Maisam Al-Hadi expressed her happiness at this accomplishment, emphasizing that scientific publication is a significant step in her academic and research journey, motivating her to continue contributing to bone health promotion and osteoporosis prevention.

Meanwhile, the School of Basic Medical Sciences at Libyan International University (LIMU) congratulated the student on this success, praising her scientific efforts that elevate the university’s name in international research arenas.
