The University Medical Center is accredited as the sole site authorized by the American College of Surgeons for ATLS courses.
In an exclusive statement to the Media Center, the Director of the Medicine program (School of Medical and Health Sciences), Dr. Jamal Al-Talhi, remarked:
Today, after years of communication and coordination, the University Medical Center has been accredited as the only center authorized by the American College of Surgeons for ATLS courses.
Furthermore, the center’s name was officially added to the American College’s website today.
Consequently, those interested in training can now locate the center’s name to apply for instruction, whether they are from Libya or any other nation. Coordination has also been finalized for Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri, from the Medicine program, to serve as the sole supervisor for ATLS courses in Libya.
