Within the Framework of the SAHA Project, Supported and Supervised in Its Curricula by the European Union, Asmaa and Yasmeen Complete Their Master’s Theses
“The Promised Libya Hall” continues to witness achievements that bring joy to Libya, gladden its heart, and widen the horizon of hope. Here, in the place of knowledge, the Libyan International University (LIMU) deeply contributes to shaping the features of a Promising Libya—one grounded in modernity, excellence, science, knowledge, thought, culture, and the arts.
Since the health sector is among the most vital in the lives of Libyans—and remains in pressing need of improvement and development—LIMU, in partnership with the European Union and under the SAHA Project, designed a Master’s program in Healthcare. Built on international standards, it represents a core foundation of health services and a key to their advancement, preparing specialists to become leaders at the highest level in the medical field.
In this context, on the morning of Thursday, July 24, 2025, the “Promised Libya Hall” at LIMU hosted two thesis defenses in the Master’s in Healthcare program, belonging to students from the first graduating cohort:
1. Yasmeen Mohamed Al-Fallāh
Thesis title: Forecasting the Quantitative Demand of Essential Chemotherapy Needed for Treating Cancer Patients Attending Benghazi Medical Centre
• External Examiner: Prof. Khaled Abdullah Khalil
• Internal Examiner: Prof. Essam Abdullah Al-Danna’
• Supervisor: Dr. Issa Al-Fadli
2. Asmaa Yahya Suleiman
Thesis title: Assessment of Patient-Safety Culture among Benghazi Cardiac Hospitals’ Healthcare Professionals: A Survey-Driven Roadmap for Improvement
• External Examiner: Prof. Khaled Abdullah Khalil
• Internal Examiner: Prof. Essam Abdullah Al-Danna’
• Supervisor: Dr. Hobda Abdelhafid Khattab
Following the scientific discussions, Prof. Khaled Abdullah Khalil—the external examiner—praised the outstanding organization and the strong presence of university leadership, headed by the University President, noting that he had not witnessed such engagement in any of the many defenses he had attended.
This testimony, coming from such a distinguished academic figure, is one that LIMU takes pride in.
