The start of the TBL team-based Learning Sessions For Fourth-year Students Of The Faculty Of Pharmacy For The Academic Year 2020/2021
Thursday, October 15, 2020, the first team-based learning sessions began for fourth-year students of the faculty of Pharmacy for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The first session of TBL-based learning for this year within the 15th educational unit Neurological & Psychological Disorders. Note that the individual assessment iRAT and the group evaluation tRAT within these sessions are carried out electronically via Moodle and inside the university\’s TBL halls.
It should be noted here that team-based learning is applied in the faculty of Pharmacy at the International Libyan University in an innovative way in which the curricula and educational objectives of the professional stage of the Doctor of Pharmacy program are integrated, and within the sessions, the various disease cases and their supposed treatment plans are discussed through the Case Application Session.
It is also worth noting that the faculty of Pharmacy is the first and only in Libya whose students study within the Doctor of PharmD program, which is the approved program for the graduation of a Pharmacist who holds a Bachelor\’s degree and is able to provide pharmaceutical care to the patient.
The faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International University for Medical Sciences adopts modern curricula and teaching methods and student-centered learning strategies within interactive teaching systems where teaching takes place from the first year to graduation and over a period of five years, using problem-based learning, team-based learning, and research-based learning
