The Community Responsibility and Sustainability Unit of the School of Applied Medical Sciences recently organized a field visit for third-year students to the National Center for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Diabetes in the Eastern Region. The visit took place on Monday and Tuesday, October 13–14, 2025.
During the visit, students participated in a campaign to raise awareness and promote early detection of diabetic foot, as part of the program’s efforts to enhance students’ community service involvement and increase public health awareness, while completing their required community service hours.
During the event, a certificate of appreciation was presented to the Libyan International University (LIMU) by Al-Khibraat Pharmaceutical Company in recognition of its role in supporting health awareness programs. The certificate was received by Prof. Abdullah Al-Mansouri, Director of the School of Applied Medical Sciences.
This initiative comes as part of the program’s ongoing efforts to link academic learning with field applications and to strengthen the culture of social responsibility among students.
