The launch of the introductory week activities for new students at IT faculty
This morning, the introductory week activities were launched for new students at the IT faculty to introduce them to the university, its systems and regulations, the faculty study system, the date of its establishment, and the available majors.
This was delivered by the President of the University Prof. Muhammad Saad spoke in a speech in which he talked about the establishment of the university and the goals it had achieved in terms of its strategic educational plan, and its future plan to advance the educational level. Tawfiq Al-Taweel and a number of faculty members of the faculty about the different specializations in the faculty such as health informatics, communications, networks, etc. And the search is subjective (by himself).
It is noteworthy that the Libyan International University inaugurated the Faculty of Information Technology (2010/2011 AD) to keep pace with scientific and technological progress, to respond to the requirements of development, to achieve a qualitative leap in the development of the health sector, to meet the society\’s need for the necessary specializations in the field of information technology, informatics, and health care, and to encourage scientific research in The field of informatics, health care management for the benefit of society, and work to provide the infrastructure and cadres necessary for the software industry and technical support in medical and health institutions of all kinds.
The faculty of Information Technology grants a bachelor’s degree in this specialization, and the study is organized in the form of semesters, so that every academic year includes two semesters: the first is the fall semester and the second is the spring semester, and each semester consists of (16) sixteen weeks, including two weeks of exams. The end of the semester, according to the study program prepared by the college that follows the dates of lectures and scientific sessions, with the addition of a third semester \”summer semester\” if the college so deems it, provided that the study period to meet the graduation requirements does not exceed eight semesters (4 years) as a minimum. And ten semesters (5 years) as a maximum, with the exception of semesters in which the student is permitted to suspend enrollment
