The third-year students at the Faculty of Pharmacy this morning participated in training sessions at the Clinical Skills Lab as part of the center\’s agenda to train students from various medical faculties in basic skills in all academic stages prior to the clinical phase of their faculty.
Through the use of medical dolls and models as patients to prepare students for scenarios in actual cases that simulate situations they may encounter in hospitals.
The third-year pharmacy students were trained on measuring vital signs of patients such as measuring blood pressure by using a blood pressure monitor, in addition to examining the mammary gland and usage of an electrical shock machine as well as the usage of an electrocardiogram. Precautionary measures were taken into account regarding the combat of the Covid-19 pandemic by distributing students to several training sessions, making it mandatory to wear a mask to ensure their safety and the safety of the staff, and to divide them into small groups, each group comprising of six students.
