University Board Launches New Scholarship Round The University Board held its seventh regular meeting for the year on June 17, 2025, chaired by the Board President and attended by all members.
The meeting began with the University President congratulating the attendees on Eid al-Adha. He then discussed the two recent brainstorming sessions, highly commending the event and the discussions held, and urged commitment to attending and actively participating in these sessions to strengthen the decision-making process.
The President then moved on to address the preparations for the new academic year and the evaluation of the past year, highlighting successes and working to overcome shortcomings. He noted the current academic year saw significant material additions to the University’s components, including new large halls, the new Central Library, newly established laboratories, advanced equipment, the University Medical Center, and the Simulation Center. The President also announced LIMU’s transition into a School-based university, now featuring 23 programs distributed across 3 Schools, aligning with contemporary university structures. The Board members engaged in extensive discussions regarding all aspects of preparation for the new academic year, reviewed required needs, and emphasized rigorous selection of faculty members, prioritizing competent and qualified national elements.
Discussions also covered new proposals, such as creating a student platform to aid selection via a personality analysis test, as well as proposals for preparing promotional and media plans and amending the graduate studies regulations. Finally, the members discussed launching the new version of the scholarship program, which will also be dedicated to Nursing Science, underscoring LIMU’s role in social contribution and its part in improving health services, given that nursing is a key component of the healthcare process.
