University Council Discusses Proposal to Establish the Najeeb Al-Hassadi Center for Critical Thinking

University Council Discusses in Its Ninth Session the Proposal to Establish the “Najeeb Al-Hassadi Center for Critical Thinking”

The University Council, regarded as the intellectual core of the International University and the crucible where ideas and perspectives converge, serves as a weekly “brainstorming session” in which decisions are made after thorough deliberation and transparent discussion, with active listening to all viewpoints. Students constitute a cornerstone of the Council, representing a valued and influential voice that effectively contributes to decision-making.

In this context, on the morning of Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the University Council convened its regular meeting No. (264), marking its ninth session for the year 2025. The session opened with statements from the Council President, Professor Dr. Mohamed Saad Mbarak.

The Council members then ratified the minutes of the previous meeting No. (263), held on July 15, 2025. Following this, the Council reviewed the outcomes of the Academic Council’s work and discussed the requirements of the upcoming academic year.

The agenda further included:

  • The announcement of the new identity of the Center for Training and Continuing Education.
  • Progress updates on the development of the Total Quality Management Office.
  • Presentation of the new structure of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

Finally, the session discussed the proposal to establish the Najeeb Al-Hassadi Center for Critical Thinking.
