University Council: Investing in Modern Technologies and Embracing Knowledge Sharing

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, the National Unity Hall hosted the 246th regular meeting of
the University Council, marking the eighth session of the year 2024. The meeting was
chaired by the University President, Dr. Mohamed Saad.
The council members engaged in a comprehensive discussion on the following key
topics:
● University Policy on Investing in Modern Technologies and Knowledge
Sharing: The council delved into the university’s strategy for embracing modern
technologies and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing in preparation for the
upcoming academic year. This strategy aims to provide students with the
necessary tools and resources to enhance their learning experiences and ensure
the highest quality of education.
● Ensuring Adequate Facilities and Resources for the New Academic Year:
The council discussed the university’s plans to ensure that all necessary facilities
and resources are in place for the new academic year. This includes ensuring
adequate classroom space, laboratory equipment, and other essential resources
to support the teaching and learning process.
● Determining Enrollment Capacity and Tuition Fees: The council deliberated
on the university’s enrollment capacity and tuition fees for the upcoming
academic year. The goal is to strike a balance between ensuring accessibility for
qualified students and maintaining the financial sustainability of the university.
● Reviewing Student Union Activities: The council reviewed the activities of the
Student Union, including the successful charity bazaar organized before Eid
al-Adha, which aimed to provide sacrificial animals for underprivileged families.
The council commended the efforts of the Student Union and the university
students in general, highlighting the noble values and ethical principles that the
university strives to instill in its students.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the university’s commitment to providing
students with a quality education that prepares them for success in their future
endeavors. The council’s decisions and recommendations will guide the university’s
efforts in the upcoming academic year and beyond.
