World Health Day: LIMU's Role in Addressing Health Sector Challenges

The first scientific session for World Health Day commenced with a valuable presentation titled “Challenges of the Health System in Libya.” This was delivered by Dr. Muftah Al-Tawilb, General Manager of the National Center for Health System Development and Director of International and Academic Relations at Libyan International University.
The main segment followed, focusing on LIMU’s Role in Addressing Health Sector Challenges, featuring:
• Professor Dr. Abdalla El-Mansoury on the Healthcare Management Program.
• Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Ghiryani on the Health Informatics Program.
• Professor Dr. Saliman El-Sharif on the Doctor of Pharmacy Program.
• Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri on the Nursing Sciences Program.
• Dr. Moataz Al-Hassi on LIMU’s Applied Model in the Family Medicine Program.
Third Segment: Research Presentations by Healthcare Management Master’s Graduates (First Cohort)
Presentations were delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Adbeish, Dr. Rehan Al-Obaidi, and Dr. Al-Hassan Al-Mahdawi. The commemoration of World Health Day featured vital discussions characterized by scientific transparency and a rigorous, honest analysis of the Libyan health sector.
The session was expertly moderated by Dr. Ali Saeed Al-Barghathi, Vice President for Societal Responsibility at LIMU. He emphasized that all initiatives and contributions of the university since its inception are rooted in a total belief in societal responsibility.
