In a historic moment that reflects excellence and distinction, the Libyan International
University’s Faculty of Dentistry organized a remarkable ceremony on
Thursday, July 4, 2024, to celebrate the university’s dental center‘s achievement of
Canadian accreditation, a first for Africa.
The ceremony was attended by a number of university leaders and staff, as well as the
team that accomplished this remarkable feat. Also present was Mr. Mehdi Al-Jiar,
Director of the Private Education Department.
During the ceremony, Dr. Mohamed Saad, President of the University, spoke about the
significance of this achievement and its positive impact on the future of the faculty and
the university. The Dean of the Faculty, expressed his admiration for the team members
who demonstrated that determination, perseverance, and hard work are the keys to
excellence and progress. He highlighted that this success was achieved by the hands of
the young generation.
Dr. Rafik Al-Kawafi also praised the efforts of the team, the silent heroes who dedicated
their efforts and devotion to achieving this accreditation. He assured the audience that
the faculty will continue its journey towards more achievements and development.
Dr. Asmaa Al-Masmari, Director of the Center, delivered her speech, emphasizing the
importance of teamwork and dedication in achieving Canadian accreditation.
All speakers affirmed that this accreditation enhances the faculty’s reputation and opens
up new horizons for development and progress in the field of dentistry.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of team members and all those who
contributed to this pioneering achievement, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and
dedication within the faculty.
