AMS faculty students in the laboratory of Al-Kuweifiya Hospital
This morning, the second-year students (specializing in clinical laboratory sciences) at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences AMS visited the laboratories of Al-Kuweifiya Teaching Hospital for Chest Diseases, during which they received a laboratory lesson in Microbiology with Professor of the subject Dr. Muhammad Al-Hammad.
This visit focused on introducing students to the identification of tuberculosis, by examining the reactions of detection of tuberculosis, meaning the two types of pulmonary tuberculosis bacteria, and the method of detection and methods of dealing with the patient in the hospital, in addition to the types of prescriptions in which these bacteria are grown.
This visit comes in implementation of the faculty’s plan to update and develop teaching methods and curricula, and to enhance students ’research and knowledge skills, in terms of providing them with a pioneering educational and research environment that enables them to obtain ample scientific knowledge and effective practical experience in the fields of scientific specialization, and in implementation of IBL learning methods.
