LIMU Strengthens Its Social Responsibility and Hosts a Major Charity Event

“Their Iftar on Us, Their Eid on You”

“Let those who have abundance spend from their abundance.”
Allah has spoken the truth.

On Friday evening, attendees gathered at the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) to take part in a charitable iftar event named “Your Iftar on Us, Their Eid on You” Each participant contributed in their own way—whether through effort, financial support, acts of kindness, artistic talents, uplifting voices, or simply offering a warm smile to those arriving. The goal was not just to collect money but to spend it on families in need, ensuring their children experience the joy of Eid al-Fitr.

Since it is a university without walls, LIMU opened its doors from day to night, welcoming those eager to contribute to this night of giving. The atmosphere flourished with generosity, as dozens gathered for communal prayers, followed by a shared iftar and a blessed Ramadan evening filled with beauty and joy.

The event was attended by the LIMU President, Prof. Mohamed Saad Embarek, alongside Ms. Najiba Asteita, Director of the Communications Department—the supervising entity behind the event. Also in attendance were esteemed guests, renowned artists, and numerous university staff and students, all of whom dedicated their efforts to ensuring the success of this charitable night.

A special acknowledgment goes to the Social Responsibility and Sustainability Agency, university security personnel, the cleaning and service company, and all those who contributed to organizing and hosting this meaningful event.
