The weekly scientific seminar was held in Dr. Salama Boukhtwa’s presence, the dean of the faculty of pharmacy which was held today, Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
It comprised lectures on subjects selected by the students and created as posters. All conversations and related exercises were conducted in front of faculty members, who assessed students’ abilities in accordance with predetermined standards that were authorized in advance and recorded on the form.
It is important to note that the faculty of pharmacy is the first and only one in Libya to offer the PharmD program, which is the accredited route to a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and the ability to treat patients with pharmaceuticals.
The faculty of pharmacy at the Libyan International Medical University uses contemporary curricula, teaching techniques, and student-centered learning strategies in interactive education systems. Teaching occurs from the first year through graduation over a period of five years, using problem-based learning, team-based learning, research-based learning, and case-based learning.
