A team representing the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at LIMU participated in the first Libyan Conference on Technology and Innovation (LCTI 2024). Held under the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education’s patronage, the conference took place at Benghazi’s Bernicchi Hotel from June 1st to 2nd, 2024.
Mr. Fathi Alfazani presented a research paper authored by Prof. Omar Al Denali and Dr. Abdel Aziz Badi. Titled
“Fuzzy Logic Technique and Response Surface Methodology to Predict the Material removal rate of Abrasive Water Jet Process (AWJM) Parameters on Inconel – 188,”
The paper explored the application of artificial intelligence techniques (fuzzy logic and response surface methodology) in predicting material removal rates during Abrasive water jet machining. The paper received praise and was nominated as one of the conference’s top entries.
The conference proceedings are published in the African Journal of Advanced Pure and Applied Sciences. The Libyan research team’s paper will appear in a special issue of the African Journal of Advanced Pure and Applied Sciences (AJAPAS). This prestigious, peer-reviewed quarterly scientific journal, published by the Istanbul-based African Academy for Advanced Studies (AAAS), focuses on academic research and studies across various applied science fields.
