The Faculty of Medicine Commences its Scientific Days on the Topic of Osteoporosis and Osteomalacia

Today, Saturday, August 5, 2023, the faculty of medicine, beginning with the department of orthopedics, launched scientific days in the presence of the university president, the leaders of the university and the faculty of medicine, and a distinguished scientific gathering of interested researchers and faculty students, which was under the direction of Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri, head of the research and consulting unit, and Dr. Randa Al-Dugaili, head of the department of orthopaedic surgery.

The faculty of medicine’s goals and objectives are in accord with this event in that all scientific departments help organize such significant events on two levels: the professional growth of medical professionals and the awareness and education of citizens generally.
The scientific day was held under the heading “osteoporosis & osteomalacia,”

Which presents a wide range of significant scientific research papers. Faculty students as well as a group of orthopedists, experts, and consultants in the field was among the attendees.
These articles are noteworthy because they contributed to the further progress of the medical generations that came before them, each of whom contributed to his research in accordance with his scientific and practical experience and his international research studies. The national unity hall, the venue for the event, saw a scientific exchange between the presenters and the audience that helped to explain many aspects of the subject being discussed (osteoporosis).

Due to his absence from the country, the dean of the faculty of medicine, Dr. Jamal Al-Talhi, opened the scientific day with a speech via Zoom technology. He welcomed the attendees and praised the preparatory committee’s efforts, highlighting the significance of the involvement of scientific departments in holding such events due to their commendable impact on increasing efficiency and strengthening the empowerment of scientific research.

At the conclusion of the scientific day, all members of the scientific committee as well as the leader of the research and consulting section received certificates of appreciation.
Othman Al Tajoui additionally an appreciation certificate for Dr. Essam Al-Dana, the vice dean of the college. In this context, it is important to note the contribution of the Faculty of Medicine students to the success of this event’s participation at every stage.

It is also noteworthy that Bab Al-Rayyan Co., which organized this prominent scientific event, contributed to the event’s educational and awareness value through publications and a distinguished team. All respects to them.
